Wow! In one day we will officially be 19 weeks and have hit the official half way mark! Because my pregnancy is considered high risk my OBGYN has told me she would like me to be induced by 38 weeks and won’t let me go past. So for me-19 weeks is my half way! ☺ Baby bump has definitely started to show!
Since about 16.5 weeks I have finally started feeling better & my energy levels have increased. I feel more motivated to get things done around the house and maybe some nesting has begun! I’ve started decluttering the kitchen cupboards to make room for baby things and clearing out the nursery room so we can paint over our weeks vacation in July! Exciting!!
My nausea is much improved but i still have to rely on taking my Diclectin or it comes back full force. I also must ensure I eat small meals frequently or this causes me to get nauseated (and hangry haha).
Today was our anatomy scan & Mike and I got to see our baby girl flipping around (literally she took a nose dive 😋) and sticking out her tongue.
She had 10 adorable fingers & 10 chubby toes! Her heart was beating away at 147bpm & the tech didn’t see any cardiac issues which is so relieving!
They said she weighs just over 300 grams or approximately 11 ounces! Wow! Her belly measured in the 54th percentile which she told me was great and her femur measured long in the 86th percentile! She said she thinks she’s going to be tall- just like her Daddy 💕!
Unfortunately my placenta has been found to be very low in the uterus & partially covering my cervix. They are concerned with it’s positioning. It is called Placenta Previa & puts me and baby at risk for complications such as bleeding or tearing of placenta, increased BP and preeclampsia. Also if the placenta doesn’t move then will have to have a c-section, which is very liekly regardless considering my retroverted uterus and now this. I see my OBGYN on Thursday and will find out what’s next. She will be monitoring me closely & will keep eye on placenta placement and my BP.
Thanks for taking this wild journey with us! Much love!
